Eny's Judaica for children
My name is Eny Pavoncello, I was born in Rome and immigrated to Israel with my husband and my first born son in 1987. We now live in Jerusalem with our four lovely children.
In 1990 I was awarded a teaching diploma in Teaching Arts and Crafts from the David Yellin College of Education in Jerusalem and taught in several schools for a few years.
The first Gulf War caught me a few months after I had my second baby.
As most people probably remember, the material in most demand and use in those days was transparent plastic sheets for sealing and protecting windows from chemical attack. All Israelis bought tons of it and at the end of the war the israeli government tried to convince people not to throw the plastic in the garbage and to find some use for it. I thought that it would be nice to make uncommon and original bibs for my baby.
The bibs were so beautiful and practical that I decided not to keep the idea just for my baby. I began to produce them commercially, working for best professional quality and selling them succesfully, mainly at local fairs and shops.
From then I added to the basic bib more and more products based on the same idea, as well as other products for children.
My collection available online includes Plastic Bibs & Placemats, Wooden Dreidels & Groggers, and an original T-shirt to be painted by children. |
