Fabric Judaica
...who commanded us to wear the Fringed Garment (morning prayer)
Tallits are made from sheer washable fabric with silver thread in the weave, and has Kosher Tzitzis (fringes). The collar and corners are made from silk brocade. The trim is hand crocheted from silver and colored thread. The matching head hugging Kippa is hand crocheted from silver and colored thread. The matching bag with lining is from the same fabric and has hand embroidered design and personal initials. For generations, the traditional gift for a Chatan (groom) or Bar Mitzva has been an initialed bag with Tallit.
In the image of the bag below you can see the beaded work made on Tallits and bags. |
